Jason has taught several sketching holidays in the UK and Italy, so he is well-versed in teaching budding artists to sketch with skill. In this workshop, Jason will teach you how to create artwork that is quick and effective, capturing the essence of a scene.

What You’ll Learn:

• Editing a Scene: Learn how to decide what to keep and what to miss out when sketching.

• Layering Techniques: Understand how to build up a drawing in layers using pencil, watercolour, and pen, making the most of each medium’s characteristics.

• Creating Finished Sketches: Gain the skills to make finished sketches of your own, building confidence to use your sketchbook whether you’re on holiday or out and about.

This afternoon workshop is suitable for both beginners and those with some experience in drawing or painting. By the end of the session, you’ll have a sketchbook filled with your own creations and the confidence to continue your sketching journey.
