Needle felted Landscapes

Come and join us for an afternoon of needle felting. This workshop is perfect for beginners or anyone wanting to refine their felting skills. Lead by textile artist and tutor Liane Ging you will explore the wonderful art of felting.

Liane will guide you through the creative process to help you to create a textile landscape to take home, and enjoy.

What you will learn

You will learn the art of 2D needle felting onto fabric using single and multi-tool felting needles. You will work with carded wool, using barbed needles and a sponge mat. You will learn how to layer and blend the fibres to bring your landscape to life. Embellishments such as embroidery and beading can be added to the foreground to add extra interest.

All materials will be provided so you do not need to bring anything with you. However, if you have a photograph or a picture of a landscape that is special to you. feel free to bring it as inspiration.

Whether you are looking to try something new or expand your existing needlecraft skills this workshop is a great opportunity to learn, create and have fun in a supported environment.

Waver: This workshop involves barbed needles that are used to press and mould the wool into the fabric base. Although small, there is a risk of accidently stabbing your fingers with a needle. By booking the workshop you understand and accept personal risk for injury. Not suitable for children.
