Intermediate Acrylics

This Intermediate Acrylics course is a natural follow-on for those who have completed the beginner acrylics course, or who already feel comfortable with the basics and want to develop their painting further.

Led by professional artist Jason Skill, the course focuses on building confidence, control and personal approach when working with acrylic paint. Over six weeks, you’ll move beyond introductory techniques and spend more time developing finished work, exploring how to strengthen composition, colour choices and surface handling.

Jason will guide you through more advanced paint application, layering, colour mixing and editing your work, helping you understand how to refine ideas and push paintings further. Each session includes demonstrations, structured exercises and time to work on your own pieces, with individual feedback and support throughout.

All materials are provided, so there’s nothing to bring with you other than your curiosity and willingness to experiment. Tea and biscuits are, as ever, part of the experience.

This course is ideal if you’re ready to take the next step with acrylics in a supportive, focused studio environment.
