Drawing with Mixed Media
Date: 25th February - 1st April 2026
Schedule: Every Wednesday for 6 weeks
Time: 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM
Get creative over six weeks and explore drawing in a more open, experimental way in this mixed media drawing course.
There are countless drawing materials available to artists, and working out what suits you best can be both time-consuming and expensive. This course offers the chance to try a wide range of drawing media in one place, with clear guidance on how to use each effectively. You’ll work with materials including conte crayon, ink, coloured pencils, charcoal, liquid and powdered graphite, and pastels, learning how they behave on the page and how they can be combined.
The course is led by Jason Skill, an experienced artist and tutor. Across the six weeks, Jason will demonstrate different techniques, explain how materials interact, and help you edit and develop your work. Sessions include structured exercises alongside time to experiment, with individual support throughout.
This course is suitable for beginners and those with some drawing experience who want to loosen up, explore new materials, and develop a more confident and personal drawing practice.
All materials are provided — just bring curiosity and a willingness to experiment.
