Join professional upholsterer Anna Davies for a relaxed, hands-on introduction to the fundamentals of modern upholstery as you create your own beautiful footstool from start to finish.

Throughout the day, Anna will guide you through each stage of the process, from assembling the frame and adding padding to cutting fabric, mastering neat corners and applying the finishing touches. With her expert tuition, you’ll gain practical skills and the confidence to continue exploring upholstery at home.

By the end of the workshop, you’ll leave with a handcrafted footstool to be proud of.

Please bring 1 metre of upholstery-grade fabric in a design of your choice. All other materials, tools and equipment are provided. The finished footstool measures approximately 16 x 16 inches, and you’ll be able to choose from a selection of wooden legs to suit your style.

Anna Davies is a professional upholsterer with a passion for traditional craftsmanship and contemporary upholstery. Known for her friendly, encouraging teaching style, Anna enjoys helping complete beginners discover the satisfaction of creating beautifully upholstered furniture by hand.

No previous experience is needed, making this workshop perfect for complete beginners. Suitable for ages 14+.
