Reduction Lino Printing

Discover the intricate art of Reduction Lino Printing in this full-day workshop at The Hut on the Green. Perfect for those with some previous lino printing experience or anyone who has attended one of our courses. Led by artist and printmaker Clare Bowes, in this class she will guide you through the process of creating multi-coloured, layered prints from a single lino block.

Reduction printing involves carving away layers of your block as you progress through your design. Each layer is printed in a different colour, with earlier layers gradually removed to reveal the lighter colours beneath. This technique requires careful planning and execution, but the results are rich, multi-layered images with incredible depth and detail.
