Tree Stories

Join us at HUT on the Green for a tree-themed creative writing workshop celebrating National Tree Week.

During this relaxed and inspiring morning, you’ll explore the many ways trees can spark stories and poems. You’ll experiment with different writing approaches and discover how other writers have captured the joy, beauty and wonder of the natural world.

No previous writing experience is needed — just an interest in nature, creativity and exploring your own relationship with the world around you.

The workshop is led by writer and experienced tutor Amanda Quinn, who has taught creative writing for more than ten years in community centres, libraries, day centres and schools across the North East. Amanda is passionate about helping people bring creativity into their everyday lives, and her workshops are designed to be relaxing, enjoyable and inspiring.

Who is it for?

Anyone curious about creative writing and the natural world. Complete beginners and experienced writers are equally welcome.
