Join us for a colourful, hands-on sewing workshop and create your own stylish kimono-style jacket.

During this full day session, you’ll work with bold, vibrant fabrics to construct a relaxed kimono-style garment that you can take home and wear. With Amy’s guidance, you’ll develop your sewing skills while learning useful dressmaking techniques and professional finishing methods.

The workshop is led by Amy, designer and maker behind Kaleidoscope, a sustainable fashion brand specialising in distinctive bags and accessories. Amy works with high-quality, colourful fabrics and reclaimed materials to create pieces that stand out from the crowd.

During the workshop, you’ll learn how to:

• Thread a sewing machine and wind a bobbin

• Work with garment pattern pieces

• Sew pattern pieces together accurately

• Use French seams to create a neat, professional finish

• Attach and topstitch bias binding around the edge of your kimono

Who is it for?

This workshop is suitable for confident beginners who have some previous experience using a sewing machine, as well as more experienced sewers and dressmakers.

All fabric, materials and equipment are provided, along with complimentary refreshments throughout the session.
