Introduction to Ceramics

Time: 10:00 am - 12:00 pm (every Thursday for 6 weeks)

Discover the art of ceramics in this 6-week beginner’s course, starting Thursday 4th June, join us every Thursday morning from 10am -12pm to learn the essentials of working with clay, including throwing on the potter’s wheel, hand-building, and slab work.

The course is led by award-winning ceramicist Kirsty Adams, Kirsty, who trained in Brighton and refined her skills on the potter’s wheel in Japan, brings over 25 years of experience. She will guide you through techniques such as texturing, joining, and carving, as well as making lidded pots, cups with handles, and decorative tiles. With her experience and background, you’ll be in expert hands as you create your own pieces.

What do you need to bring?

Absolutely nothing! All materials are provided, along with cups of tea and biscuits (if you’re lucky!), so you can simply get stuck in and enjoy the experience.

Spaces are limited, so book early to secure your spot and enjoy a thoroughly hands-on introduction to ceramics!
